The Girls

This is the real-life story of a group of Women’s Institute members from Yorkshire who raise cash for their local hospital with a naked calendar. The 2003 movie was a huge hit, the 2008 play even more so, and the latest version – with music from the talented ex-Take That singer-songwriter Gary Barlow - sold out at Leeds and Salford. Now it's due in the West End, a classic in the making starring the wonderful Debbie Chazen as Ruth, the amazing Sophie-Louise Dann as Celia and popular comedy actress Michele Dotrice as Jessie. Claire Machin plays Cora beautifully, Claire Moore brings Chris to vibrant life and Joanna Riding aces the role of Annie.

It's beautifully directed by Tim Firth, a good friend of Gary Barlow's. Barlow has penned fourteen number one singles, sold more than 50 million records and snagged six Ivor Novello Awards. Firth is an Olivier Award winner with a UK Theatre Award for Best New Musical under his belt. It's a match made in heaven. A combination of exceptional acting talent, brilliant show tunes and unforgettable lyrics makes this a musical not to miss, a new star in the theatreland crown. Enjoy a legend in the making, and enjoy the fact that every ticket sold supports the specialist blood cancer charity, Bloodwise.
