The Last Tango
You love ballroom dancing. You'd move mountains to see Flavia Cacace and Vincent Simone in action. You might have been lucky enough to experience the awesome Midnight Tango and Dance ‘Til Dawn, both of which rocked the West End stage and drew enthusiastic audiences. Now there's one more... and it's Flavia and Vincents' final stage musical. Welcome to The Last Tango, celebrating the sheer magic of ballroom dancing, a show studded with rousing rumbas, lively jives, flamboyant flamencos, sinuous salsas and the couple's signature dance, the awesome and seriously sexy Argentine tango.
This epic extravaganza stars a character called George, who relives his life, loves, heartbreaks and precious moments through the medium of dance. The music comes from a real, live band and the show is directed to perfection by the Olivier Award-winning choreographer and director Karen Bruce. Adam Spiegel Productions – loved for their involvement with the smash stage hits Motown, The Producers and Dance ‘Til Dawn – are the producers. And it arrives in the West End after a killer of a UK tour, which totally delighted huge audiences throughout Britain and Ireland. The Last Tango replaces Guys and Dolls at the Phoenix theatre this autumn. Our recommendation? It's going to be big – so book your tickets before they sell out!
